Cosmic Forecast January 2023

Cosmic Forecast January 2023

Like December, January is a threshold month. As we pass through it, we enter a new phase and leave behind the previous one. No transition is instant. Over the course of this month, we’ll learn just how long we need to make shifts and transform in our own ways in preparation for the year ahead. While we might be used to simply surviving the holidays and jumping into the new year with a sense of urgency to get started on the goals or intentions we’ve set, this January really calls us to slow down and prioritize reflection and repose. The astrology gives us more space to listen to ourselves and to get the rest we need to take action when the time is right.

Cosmic Forecast December 2022

Cosmic Forecast December 2022

For many of us, December is one of the fullest months of the year. There are celebrations and obligations. There’s pressure to finish up work before the holidays, and pressure to participate in the season in ways that might not feel comfortable. “NOBODY PUTS BABY IN A CORNER”: Summer Slaughter EDITION

Though distant from our current fall bliss, local band Babe Corner’s first single off their debut album Crybaby, entitled “Summer Slaughter,” recounts the awfully familiar feeling of the end-of-summer comedown. The breezy tune is paradoxically a song about grief; one that was inspired by the passing of a band member’s family member in August.

Cosmic Forecast November 2022

Cosmic Forecast November 2022

November is the month of darkness. It begins with celebrations of the dead–a time when we’re allowed to open ourselves up to grief and sink into the hard things about being a human. At the end of October, a New Moon eclipse in Scorpio welcomed the new astrological season. Now, as we move through Scorpio and into Sagittarius, we’re shadowed by the energy of that eclipse.
