Call For Submissions: Issue No. 26, Green

SAD Mag is looking for pitches and submissions for our next issue. This time, the theme is GREEN, and we are asking for writing (poetry and prose) that engages with this theme in an unexpected way.

What kind of GREEN do we mean? Topics to consider are money, jealousy, environmental activism, plant life, weed, aliens (little green men), juice cleanses, lawnmowers, homeopathic medicine, and the colour green. Successful submissions will be published online or in our print issue. Writers and artists whose work is selected for our print issue will receive an honorarium between $50-$150 pending funding.

We are based in Vancouver British Columbia, and we like to champion the work of emerging writers with ties to our province (perhaps you are based here too or lived here in the past). We are dedicated to inclusivity—of viewpoints and voices—and are especially interested in work that showcases perspectives not often reflected in mainstream media. If you haven’t been published before, don’t worry — we are happy to work with first-time writers as well as experienced ones. We value enthusiasm and irreverence above all.
