The annual VNM Festival returns this year with PROPULSION (Oct 17-19), a co-presentation with VIVO Media Arts Centre. Exploring themes of futurism, the artists move forward towards developing and advancing their art forms and the contexts they work in: How do we build our future and propel ourselves as an artistic community and a general society to build something new? 

IGNITE! is an eclectic festival that celebrates excellence in emerging arts and that is curated entirely by members of the Youth Panel at The Cultch, a group of up-and-coming arts administrators, curators, and artists. IGNITE! is an interdisciplinary celebration of local rising stars that aims to center diverse artists and underrepresented communities.

The 2023 Early Music Vancouver Summer Festival (previously named Vancouver Bach Festival) will take place July 27 to August 5. The theme of the 2023 Early Music Vancouver Summer Festival is WOMENinSIGHT – celebrating women composers, librettists, and performers of the past and present. 

Music on Main presents Gabriel Kahane’s deeply insightful albums Book of Travelers (BC premiere) and Magnificent Bird (Canadian premiere), on stage in consecutive performances on May 10 and 11, 2023 at 7:30pm at the ANNEX (823 Seymour Street). Both distinct yet complementary song cycles were conceived and created three years apart during the artist’s self-imposed isolations from the internet and social media in 2016 and 2019.
