Artists Legal Outreach (BC), Artists Legal Advice Service (ON) and the National Network of Legals Clinics for the Arts are excited to announce the latest installment of Yours, Mine and Ours, an ongoing series of talks on copyright, creativity and artists’ rights. Titled Rights, Royalties and Resistance, this conversation author, rapper and former poet-laureate of Edmont, Rollie Pemberton (aka Cadence Weapon) will sit-down in an intimate venue to discuss his career, his 2022 publication Bedroom Rapper: Cadence Weapon on Hip-Hop, Resistance and Surviving the Music Industry (McLelland & Stewart), making music and making a living with Vancouver author Jen Sookfong Lee.
