The Frank Theatre and Zee Zee Theatre co-present, in association with Firehall Arts Centre, the Canadian premiere of Trans Scripts, Part I: The Women. Written by award-winning playwright Paul Lucas, and co-directed by Cameron Mackenzie and Fay Nass, the production explores the real-life stories of transgender women as told in their own words. Seven local transgender actors, activists, artists, and politicians will perform the inspiring and insightful work: Josie Boyce, Carolynn Dimmer, Amy Fox, Quanah Napoleon, Morgane Oger, Sabrina Symington, and Julie Vu. Trans Scripts reflects on the injustices the transgender community faces globally in a poignant reminder that — despite our differences — we are all connected by the unexpected, messy, and beautiful adventure that is being human.
Tickets from $17. More information at zeezeetheatre.ca.
