Join the SAD Gang at The Waldorf Hotel on February 13th to celebrate the launch of our next issue, High School (no. 21/22)! Let's get together for some Fast Times at SAD High to revisit the fun parts of adolescence–awkwardness, gangly limbs, amazing music, and prom dresses–while we skip the crying in the bathroom.

FAST TIMES AT SAD MAG HIGH: the HIGH SCHOOL issue launch!

The Waldorf Hotel (1489 East Hastings Street)

The evening will be hosted by the stunning Shanda Leer, with amazing performances from Rose Butch, The Kingsgate Chorus, and The Strokes cover band featuring members of Dead Ghosts, Mode Moderne & Nervous Talk.

Nostalgic fun time activities will include an amazing throwback dance party, the infamous laser background photo booth, video games, prizes for non-descript contests that you often win accidentally, a dance off, and a montage of our favourite teen show TV clips!

Tickets are $8 in advance via eventbrite, or $10 at the door. All proceeds go towards getting our next issue into print!

The HIGH SCHOOL issue features interviews with Dan Savage, Shamir, Rose Butch, Ivan Coyote, and Dead Ghosts; writing from current high school students (and teachers!) in the Lower Mainland; and the gorgeous photography and original artwork you can always expect from SAD Mag. We can't wait for its graduation party.
