The Disposable Camera Project is back! We gave disposable cameras to some of our favourite creatives in the city, and we’ll be sharing the best photos along with beers and tunes at the Remington Gallery August 24th, join us!
What do trash and disposable cameras have in common? They are objects of a single use—designed to be discardable and easily forgotten. In this year’s Disposable Camera Project, Vancouver artists engage both the multifaceted concept of trash and the equally trashy medium of the disposable camera. Re-thinking modes of perception and value, each artist has played with form and content to capture a thing of beauty through and with a garbage lens.
35mm photographs by Ho Tam, Reema Ismail , Dylan Maranda , Katie Stewart , and Joon Lee and Jin Yoon .
All print sale proceeds go straight to the artists!
Co-curated by Helen Wong and Megan Jenkins.
