Call for submissions: Nostalgia Issue
When the word nostalgia was first used, it referred to medical-grade homesickness. Today, the term is always on our tongues, partly because so much fashion, tv, and music is rooted in nostalgic daydreams. Was the past that great? Better question, Do we hate the present day that much?
The next issue of SAD (which marks our tenth anniversary year) takes nostalgia as its theme. We want your best stories, poems, articles, and artwork about nostalgia.
That means Rose-coloured glasses, romanticizing the past, resurrecting the dead, running back home, ruminating on what could have been, reading the classics, and revisiting your childhood. What makes your heart ache for home or your mind wander backwards?
