Disposable Camera Series II

Way back when, for our Mad Mad World issue (no. 12), we sent some disposable cameras with a few friends and local musicians while they travelled the world. You may have spotted a few snaps in the Movement issue, and we'll be sharing more here in bi-monthly instalments. Find the first instalment here. This month, we're featuring our co-publisher Michelle Cyca's dreamy snaps of Tokyo!

Tokyo (and a bit of home, because we love home), as seen and snapped by Michelle Cyca.

Maman! How funny to see something that reminds me of Ottawa-- of all places!-- in Roppongi, just chilling outside the Mori Art Museum.

The chill Japanese attitude to public drinking is admirable, and despite the claim that everything is expensive in Tokyo, if your standards are low you can find a very refreshing beverage for less than five dollars (and no tip!).

My favourite human on the Skydeck of the Mori Art Museum. Amazing views for cheap (plus the museum itself is gorgeous) and you can go down one floor to drink champagne and watch the sun set from the 53rd-floor cafe.

Tokyo Tower! Also amazing to look down at the city and note the efficient flow of traffic. So pleasing to the Vancouverite's eye to see relatively few cars on the road.

On Naoshima looking out towards the Seto Inland Sea. On Naoshima everything is beautiful, by nature or design- it's hard to tell the difference between the two.

Outside the Lee Ufan Museum on Naoshima.

Look for another instalment of the Disposable Camera Series coming next month! We're excited to be launching a Secrets themed disposable series in the near future, so stay tuned!
